Women In History
On March 3, 2008 the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce presented their “Women in History” luncheon, honoring Barbara Bush as keynote speaker. Also among those speaking was Houston Mayor Bill White. Many of the Helping Afghan Women Project board were in attendance. HAWPsm sponsored a booth at the event, in order to help spread the word about our many accomplishments in Afghanistan.
