Coal and Blankets

For the past several years, many Afghan refugee families have been returning to their homeland from other countries. Often they arrive in the dead of winter with nothing but the clothes on their backs. In the past, HAWP has provided warm clothing, coal, and blankets. A bag of coal will help keep a family warm for a month. Through the HAWP project, we have helped hundreds of local families and refugees, many of whom could have died from exposure to the extremely cold temperatures. HAWP is helping save lives!
